I Have Been Opposed to The War In Iraq Since Its Inception. Here Is Why?
|
- There was never a clear, logical and explainable reason why we
needed to wage war on Iraq.
- The U.S. had never done a pre-empted war action against a
sovereign nation. Especially one who had not attacked us or was
threatening our citizens who were in their country.
- There could be serious problems, including escalating violence in the
Middle-East and surrounding areas if we began such a war.
- If we did a pre-empted strike we would never be able to criticize
another country which took such action.
- If was unclear what the economic impact on our society would be.
- We did not utilized all of our options for a peaceful resolution to the
situation.
The War in Iraq has raged on longer than World War II and there is really no end in
sight. We have found ourselves in a mess and it appears no one is willing to come up
with a workable solution to its end. I will never knowing vote to support the War. I will
use all in my power to bring our troops home with all due haste.

Although I am opposed to the War. I will put priority emphasis on
obtaining funding for necessary services for Veterans including. This
will include mental health, job placement and other necessary services.
I will not allow any Veteran to be treated with less than the utmost
respect and dignity.
The World is Becoming Too Small and Too Volatile For
Us To Think War Is Our Only Option.
